State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan Meets President Li Jinyuan in Changsha

Li Jinyuan with Tang Jiaxuan Tiens Group President Li Jinyuan met with State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan. Mr. Tang said, “I hope Tiens Group can develop faster globally, and contribute more to the society”.

Invited by the organizing committee of the Global Chinese Media Forum, President Li led a delegation to attend the Second Forum of Global Chinese Media held in Changsha between the 21st and the 24th this month. At the opening ceremony of the Forum, President Li and all delegates were met by State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan.

During the meeting, President Li introduced the development of Tiens Group in recent years and their future objective to Councilor Tang. Councilor Tang marveled at the speed of development of TIENS, and thanked Tiens Group for its contributions to public welfare over the years. He also hoped that TIENS could use the Forum of Global Chinese Media as a friendly platform for cooperation and communication, to have greater cultural exchange and cooperation all over the world. Deputy Sectary of CPC Hunan Provincial Committee and Acting Provincial Governor Zhou Bohua, Deputy Provincial Governor He Longxin and officials from the Office of Overseas Chinese Affairs under the State Council, Hunan Province government, the provincial NPC and Changsha government were present at the meeting.

The Second Forum of Global Chinese Media is a biyearly event held by China News Service, the Office of Overseas Chinese Affairs under the State Council, Hunan Province government and Changsha government. The theme was “Communication, Cooperation and Development.” The participants included 170 principals from 145 Chinese media companies in more than 30 countries, as well as the regions of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and the heads from nearly 40 leading domestic news media sources. As the sponsor for the Forum, Tiens Group was invited and sent a delegate to attend.
