New Swap and Alternative TheoryOn February 24, 2005, the sixth Prize-giving Ceremony of National Foreign Trade Research Award was held in Beijing.

Over one hundred people attended the ceremony, including leaders from the Ministry of Commerce and the Office of Central Finance & Economics Leading Group, industry experts and scholars, as well as award-winning representatives and media reporters. The Chief Executive Officer of Tiens Group, Mr. Yan Yupeng attended the Ceremony and was presented the certificate of Outstanding Works Award by Mr. Yu Guangzhou, Deputy Secretary of CPC committee and Vice Minister of Ministry of Commerce.

Overall, twenty six works won awards including fifteen thesis’ and eleven books. These works covered important themes such as the Go-Out Strategy, WTO & agriculture, processing trade, use of foreign capital and foreign investment, high-tech industry, agriculture, trade barrier, e-commerce, enterprise theory, localized foreign trade, foreign trade law, finance and so on and closely touched on some hot spots and difficulties in China’s foreign trade field, thoroughly researching and analyzing the thesis from the macro and micro level and combining this theory with practice. Some of the awarded works provided important reference to the constitution of our foreign trade development strategy while others filled in the blanks to economic and trade research. Based largely on the experience of Tiens Group, field surveys, empirical research analysis, and modern economic theory, the book on New Swap and Alternative Theory profoundly unveiled and instructed from a brand-new angle, the strategy and tactic China’s national enterprises should adopt to be a development leader. It also filled in the blanks to the research on enterprise’s transnational operation and leap development strategies.
