On September 1, 2006, Tiens Group donated RMB 15,000 to Ms. Zuo Lili, a student of TianShi College, for pursuing a master’s degree at Peking University.

Ms. Zuo Lili, was accepted by Peking University for a graduate degree program after she graduated from TianShi College in 2000 with distinction. Ms. Zuo Lili was the top student to be offered a post-graduate program in the School of Software, Peking University. However she was unable to pay the first-year tuition fees of RMB 25,000 because of her poor family background. Her mother managed to borrow RMB 10,000 from friends and family, but failed to raise the remaining RMB 15,000. Ms. Zuo Lili would have to give up her place a Peking University if she failed to pay the tuition by September 3 when the term starts. At their wit’s end, Ms. Zou and her mother approached Tiens Group. TIENS exempted her from the tuition fees at TianShi College, and helped her complete her education there.

When Ms. Zuo and her mother came to TIENS again, they felt the same familiar warmth as their first meeting. President Li Jinyuan met with Ms. Zuo Lili and her mother, admired their persistant efforts, and agreed to donate RMB 15,000 to pay for the graduate degree at Peking University. As a result, Ms. Zuo and her family members were very excited and expressed that they would never forget the favor of President Li and TIENS. Ms. Zuo said that she would study hard in order to repay President Li and TIENS with excellent achievements.
