President Li present at the USA Independence Day Celebration
On the evening of , organized by the US Embassy in China. Also present at the grand ceremony were relevant government figures, foreign ambassadors and celebrities from various walks of life.
As one of the distinguished guests, Mr. Li was welcomed with a warm reception ever since his entrance into the ceremonial hall. He was kept company both by Mr. Barry I Friedman and Mr. Frank Joseph, the commercial counselor and commercial officer from the U.S. Embassy.

The evening celebration was officially opened with a speech by US. Ambassador, Mr. Clark T. Randt Jr, The main theme, apart from the commemoration of the Independence Day and the furtherance of international communications, revolved around American football, which was reflected in the overall venue decoration and event arrangements. In addition, guests and participants at the ceremony were entertained with performances by cheer leaders from well-known US Football teams invited by the sponsor.
Recommended by embassy officials, Mr. Li Jinyuan was received by the US Ambassador, Mr. Clark T. Randt Jr., followed by a friendly exchange of greetings and a pleasant conversation. Officials from the US Embassy expressed great interest in Tiens Group’s decision to increase its circulation volume on the “main board” market of the United States. (Notes: Mr. Clark T. Randt Jr. was nominated by US president George W. Bush as the US Ambassador to China on April 30, 2001. He arrived at Beijing on July 23, 2001 and has remained the longest serving US Ambassador to China.)
At 7:30 pm, the guests left one after another, and the celebration eventually came to an end against a background of classic music.
