President Li Visit Microsoft China HQ
On August 10, 2007, at the request of the Vice President of Microsoft (Greater China Region), Mr. Li Jinyuan, President of Tiens Group, visited the MS Headquarter in China. Microsoft, as an internationally renowned enterprise, has been included among the Fortune 500. While enjoying an absolute leading position in the field of PC software production, Microsoft devotes itself to providing software products and high-end services for educational, public and commercial institutions. Its mission is to “help people and businesses all over the world in realizing their potentials.”
n MS’s VIP Reporting Hall, the regional Vice President of Microsoft (Greater China Region) presented a report entitled Be a Good Corporate Citizen, Jointly Building a Harmonious Society, which was followed by an introduction of MS’s value system and its mission to President Li.
Later on, President Li Jinyuan introduced to the MS management the rapid globalization development of Tiens Group in recent years. During the meeting, the MS Customer Manager for North China gave a speech entitled Dream, Innovation – Win-win between Microsoft and TIENS. “Both TIENS and Microsoft are enterprises with great ambitions and both injected ingredients of innovation and change into their entrepreneurial DNA”. Both enterprises are genuinely globalized, and they both care about public education and charity movements. The cooperation between Microsoft and TIENS, in fields such as software education, the construction of global informationization and high-level exchange between enterprises, will be of great cooperative significance. The cooperation model represents an innovation in itself. In the future, Microsoft will provide TIENS with the most advanced technologies, education systems as well as top-quality services so as to set up a good global information system for TIENS.
The MS Director-General for professional solutions in the greater China region also made a presentation on the latest e-business solutions made available by Microsoft, a demonstration of the unrivaled advantages of MS products.
Mr. Yan Yuming, Vice President of Tiens Group, talked about the informationization process of TIENS. He indicated that cooperation between MS and TIENS will offer an effective solution to prospective problems relating to interface unity and integration in the TIENS global informationization process, which suits well the needs of TIENS, whose business is characterized by its globalized coverage and geographic dispersiveness in its direct-sales and retail sectors. It will realize the integration of a heterogeneous system on later stages, while MS Office software can be utilized at initial phases for the purpose of standardization, normalization and systemization as well as multilingual services. This will simplify the system application process and enhance the success likelihood in system promotion.
The meeting was successfully ended in a pleasant and harmonious atmosphere. The Vice President of Microsoft (Greater China Region) highly appraised this meeting, and invited President Li Jinyuan to visit the USA Microsoft Headquarter in due time.
